👩‍🍳 How To Prepare

Prepare The Kela & Makhana

  1. Peel and cut raw banana into medium cubes.

  2. Boil until just tender and drain.

  3. Make light cuts on the banana pieces.

  4. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan.

  5. Roast makhana until crisp.

  6. Add boiled banana cubes and roast lightly until golden.

  7. Keep aside.

Prepare The Gravy

  1. Heat remaining ghee in a pan.

  2. Add tomato puree and cook for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Mix contents of this pack with 100 ml water to form a smooth slurry.

  4. Add prepared mixture and stir continuously.

  5. Add remaining 100 ml water and mix well.

  6. Cook for 5–7 minutes on medium flame until rich and aromatic.

Final Assembly

  1. Add roasted banana cubes and makhana.

  2. Add fresh cream or malai.

  3. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Let it rest for 2 minutes before serving.

  5. Serve hot with roti, paratha or jeera rice.
